Hi there!

If you are visiting this page it probably means that you are interested in building your own website but don't know how to do it.

Let's see if I can help.

First and foremost, no matter what anyone tells you, website building is not really all that easy for most of us. I'll qualify this statement by saying that some folks seem to 'get' computers and their functions more than the rest of us. Kids today, having grown up with all sorts of automated functions in their lives, are much more able to grasp the elements of website construction than us older folks unless we have computer training of some sort.

But I have to laugh when I see adverts that claim you'll have your website up in an hour or so.
It took me all of one day to get my website building program 'out of the box' so to speak and shake hands with it.

Also, operating a website is as serious a  business as any 'brick and mortar' concern if you are going to do it well. There are all sorts of legalities and regulations to contend with and competition is fierce. If you are going to build and operate an on-line ecommerce site (sell stuff or services) you will pretty much need the same relationships with bankers, accountants and legal advisors that you would to open up a shop downtown. That having been said, the web is the future. The train is leaving the station and if you're not on it - well, you may be stuck in your little town forever and never see the big city. Marilyn Monroe would never have been 'discovered' if she hadn't first taken the bus to Hollywood.

So, what to do?

The basics:

In order to have a website on the worldwide web you will have to a/ build it and b/ have it hosted.

(your host is the server that offers it up to the world. Without it your website is only on your computer.)

I have a 2 in 1 solution for you.

a/Build it
Well, lol (laughing out loud in web jargon), I might disagree with Stacy about getting your website up and running in 30 minutes or less but everything else she says is true. It might not be easy but Blue Voda is as easy as it gets. Youngsters can build websites with this set of tools. Blue Voda is a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) program.

Do you know what html is? HyperText Markup Language.

It is the primary language on which the web is built. Lots of x's and o's and backward slashes and parenthesis and stuff like that. Years ago I bought a book "HTML for Dummies" and 6 months later I felt like more of a dummy than I had at first. For most of us it's like trying to learn high school Martian when you haven't gone to Martian kindergarden. When you use a wysiwyg builder you don't have to know this stuff. (Down the line, if you're serious about having a wonderful site you may find yourself getting more faniliar with it after all, but that's down the line.)

Blue Voda operates on a Windows- like platform, similar to your word processor, so it doesn't take long to get the hang of the basics. But if you keep going and going like the Ever-Ready bunny you'll not run out of additional features for a very long time. And Blue Voda is 100% FREE to download and play with until you're ready to go on-line. How good a deal is that?
b/Have it hosted
VodaHost is the 2nd part of the story. You have to have it to go on-line. This is when your site goes through the VodaHost machinery and is offered up LIVE to the world. You have to have a host to do this and no-one offers stronger, faster, and more reliable service than VodaHost. Just so you won't have any surprises along the way, you can only use the free Blue Voda program with VodaHost.  You can't use what they've given you for free to build your site and then go next door to a different hosting company. But you wouldn't want to. Once you get the hang of your Control Panel functions (not in the first 30 minutes lol) you'll be able to contol your included email and statistic accounts and much more. It is a truly complete package that will cover most, if not all, of your website needs, depending on the complexity of www.yoursite.com.

What does it cost?

When I first got started on the web I was paying $60 and up a month to my hosting company.

VodaHost charges (if you pay by the month) $9.95
Pay by the year - $7.95 per month - total cost for the year - $95.40
3 year (this is what Sedonaaromatherapie will do when our current plan expires) - $5.47 per month
- total cost for 3 years - $197.00

If you opened up your 'shop' downtown your rent would likely be thousands of dollars a month.
If you pay annually with VodaHost you can open your doors to the world for 27 cents a day.

c/Bonuses

I know I didn't have a 'c' to begin with. I'm throwing this in. That's why it's called a bonus.

Addional Features

When you sign up with Voda Host you will also receive an incredible bundle of additional features to add audio and visual effects, virtual shopping carts and almost anything that you might envision for your on-line personal, inspirational or business oriented website.

Support

As soon as you download your FREE Blue Voda builder you will be answered by Technical Support if you have a problem. They are extremely professional and timely in helping with any difficulty you might have.

But the best part is the Tutorial encyclopedia (many topics in video which makes it even easier). Everything is explained to you, step-by-step.

And the Forums are very helpful as well. The Forums are where folks from all over the world, building with Blue Voda and with their sites hosted by VodaHost, talk every day about their learning experiences and sharing their 'know how'. The 'library' is incredible. You could stay awake all night and not come up with a question that hasn't already been answered. The folks in this group are among the most knowledgeable and generous people I have encountered on the web. It won't be long and you'll go from asking questions to answering them!
I hope this has been helpful to you....
